The River Earn is the southernmost river within the world famous Tay system, and runs through the picturesque area of Strathearn, Perthshire. It has a rich history of Game Fishing success and the River Earn is famous as being one of Scotland’s most prolific Sea Trout rivers, and the home of some large salmon. As part of the Tay River System the River Earn joins the Tay about 8 miles below Perth at the head of the Firth of Tay and migratory fish that enter the Firth turn left from the Tay to enter the Earn and travel upstream through some spectacular pools and runs. Lochlane and Laggan has some of the finest of these pools and glides and nestles within the Strathearn Valley between Comrie and Crieff, approximately 27 miles from the sea.
The Fishings include the renowned Lady Mary’s Walk Beat and 32 named pools comprising of 2.1 miles of double bank and 0.32 miles of single bank fishing.
Since 1990 much work has been completed to improve the river banks, access and comforts for fishers, and the creation of new lies. This together with continual annual maintenance has created a quality and highly sought after fishery offering superb fly fishing for Salmon and Sea Trout in an idyllic setting.

   
   

The fishings which are split into 4 beats each allowing a maximum of 3 rods. The beats are rotated on a daily basis. The Fishery is managed by Lochlane & Laggan Ltd, with a Board and owners Committee.
Fishing is available on a day / week basis to let, or purchase to become an owner on an in-perpetuity basis. Salmon and Sea Trout Schools are run each year to provide guidance and tuition in the pursuit of Salmon and Sea Trout.
Ghillie, Guiding and Tuition services are available, and tackle hire is available.
The nearest town is Crieff which provides a range of shops, good Hotels and self catering accommodation. The City of Perth with its major road and rail links is within easy commuting distance to the fishery and both Glasgow and Edinburgh International Airports can be reached within a one hour
